My frost free freezer is leaving ice at base. Have defrosted and still a problem. Can it be fixed cheaply?

Yes if it just a door rubber seal but if there is a leak somewhere in the system then it will be expensive so then it’s better to just buy new

If it’s like a flaky ice it’s not actually water frost it’ll be air frost meaning the sea needs replacing . Go to wickes or b and a or Amazon and get some stick seals and replace. £20 fix max.

Check that you don't have a blockage at the back of the unit. There should be a hole in the inner case which sometimes can have bits of food (crumbs) in it use a toothpick to poke in and clear. I hope that works. Also, check you don't have it on too high, lastly, it could be your thermostat which is a little more expensive, look at your insurance and see if you have any coverage for this.
