Help with dishwasher issue

We have just discovered that there is pipework and electrical socket in the way to a full size dishwasher (either integrated or freestanding. The width and height are fine but it’s the depth. Is this a cheap job to sort? We need to move the pipes out of the way, move the electrical socket to an alternative cupboard and also remove a section from the wooden support holding the worktop.

"Hi there, so you’ve got to break down the jobs individually how long they will take. To move pipe work, you need to cut back the pipe and re-install the relevant connections, this will require you to isolate the water, this would probably take maximum an hour. The moving of the plug socket, will require you to isolate the power, chasing the cable supplying to the socket back to the new position and you’ll need to re-install the socket mounting box, wire up the face place, this would probably take maximum one hour and a half. The removal of the wooden support 30 minutes. Altogether it’ll cost £270 for 3 hours labour at £90 an hour."

"Hi there! Here’s a breakdown of the jobs and estimated times:

1. **Moving Pipe Work**: This involves cutting back the pipe and reinstalling the connections, which will require isolating the water. This should take about an hour or more.

2. **Moving the Plug Socket**: For this, we’ll need to isolate the power, chase the cable to the new position, and reinstall the socket mounting box. This will take around 1.5 hours approx.

3. **Removing the Wooden Support**: This task should take approximately 30-40 minutes**.

In total, that’s half a days work approx. The total cost will be £200. Any questions, welcome."

"It appears that my colleagues above love to work “Ad maiorem Dei gloriam” with their low estimates

Pipe/cable wall chasing (hiding pipes under the plaster) is simple, but considering that we are working in an already established kitchen, it involves dusty work on your knees and inside the dark cupboard.

Pipe and pipe insulation, cable trunking/protection. Actual connections (soldered! not tectite!), safe isolation, bit of plaster and the lick of paint to take at least minimal pride in your own quality work..... I would price it at around £350-400 (that includes the materials)"
