Is garden hedging good for the environment? Or would it depend on various factors like location in the UK?

Garden hedging is fantastic for the environment, it creates great habitat for a range of species. Things you can do to encourage even more wildlife is planting a mix of native hedgerow species, providing food and shelter for all sorts of animals. Hawthorn is fantastic

In my personal  opinion  I would say any thing that creates  a habitat for the nature  around us is a good thing obviously the choice of hedging is also a factor and again my opinion would be a native hedge row hope this helps
