Frameless bifolds

Do frameless bifolds need any extra requirements than normal bifolds? And how energy efficient and weatherproof are they?

"If there frameless, that means they should be internal bi fold or out door living ones, either way look great but not efficient at all."

"No the energy efficiency comes mainly from the glass not the frame although the frames will have a foam insert in to help reduce heat loss.

They're waterproof but I wouldn't use them for example on a coastal property in direct wind.

All systems are tested and need to meet minimum requirements.

Do you have a system in mind?"

"Lots of pros and cons
Pro ...more space,
Pro..no mould frame rot
Pro ...look good
Con ....expensive
Con ...prone to leaks ,draughts
Con ...easier to shatter
Mainly for inside or garden area I personally would have them as a main external door ,but they do look good"
