Fitting an outside tap

If your kitchen is at the front of the house, does that make it trickier to fit an outside tap at the rear?

"No it makes it easier to fit outside tap as you can take the supply from there"

"Usually yes but it depends on where the mains water pipe runs"

"It depends where the nearest water source is. But as the feed for the outside is usually taken from the kitchen sink yes it been at the front can make it trickier if tea the closest feed."

"If you have toilet bathroom washing machine dishwasher at back not a problem.
The feed can be used for outside tap.
If you have a wash house or out side building with water this can be used.

If not it is floorboards up lots of pipe and expense.

Alternative get outside tap at front and buy longer hose."

"It depends on where there's access to a cold feed, it doesn't have to come from the kitchen."

"Hi Jackie,

It does, the pipe work would have to run through the house, so for example under the floor boards, or the pipe work will need to run out from where your kitchen is and around to the back the pipe will be exposed, but it can be done.

Hope that helps

"It can be but anything I’d possible - it’s how you do it ? You can generally pick up Pipework fro m roofspace and conceal it nicely within a waste pipe and lagging internally -"

"Hello,
Slightly but it will still be possible as the pipe would be run round the outside of the house or if you have a bathroom at the back that would be better."

"There is just a bit more work and materials involved in getting it around to the back"
