How much on average would it cost to install an extraction hood. We have an existing hood (and electrical source) in place but no extraction vent?

Generally are 2 types of extractor hood-with filter which doesn't need a vent and with vent,if you need with vent then it's need to drill a hole. The price it's around 100 to fit the extractor hood and 100 to drill the hole and to connect the vent

Typical installing a new cooker hood supply and fit will cost between £240 & £280 depending on which hood you choose the price broken down is £90 to core the hole, £90 installation fee and between £60 & £100 for the cooker hood
