"Hi there if your looking for the most head height centrally through the room then this would be the best option to vault the plastered ceiling up to the apex of the roof yes,

"Hi

A central pitch roof will give you height in the middle but you will lose height on the sides, A flat roof can be 2.5-2.6 m all the way through. Most people have a flat roof with roof lanterns to give more light with a clean line through the ceiling

"Hi a central pitch will give you more height if you put in a vaulted ceiling ie follow the pitch of the roof but you might have to but bigger rafters in or cross batten to allow for the insulation.

"Yes, pitched roof typically have higher ceiling, more high, give the room an illusion of being bigger and more spacios. Pitched roof is more energy efficient at is allow for more insullation."

"Yes but only in the centre of the room, to give even headroom the extension would benefit from a flat roof."

"A pitched roof gives you more height and can offer more architectural features, such as beams and a sloping ceiling."
