Electric Shower Removal

The electric shower is an eye sore in my opinion lol. I was wondering if i can remove the box completely from the wall and just connect a new shower to my bath taps without using the electric at all.

"Provided you isolate the cable and water supply, there should not be a problem disconnecting the current electric shower"

"I would recommend a qualified electrician comes to disconnect the power supply going from the isolator or fuse board to the shower, to enable you to safely remove the shower unit and commence with the works required. The cable would then be Safe to work on with no future issues"

"Depending on how the shower has been wired you need to make sure the supply to it is completely isolated in your fuse board. There will be a hole behind the shower cover unless your cable is on the surface of the wall. If you mean connecting a mixer shower to your taps the pipework will have to be redone also."

"Hi there, you would need to have the electric shower removed. And then a new shower installed that is connected to your central heating.

Many thanks.

"you can remove the electric shower if you want but would recommend that an electrician remove the cable going to your Consumer Unit. then you could remove the cold feed water supply to the shower and run a Hot & Cold feed from the Bath taps to your shower.make sure yo had enough pressure on the hot side"

"No problem . Ask aan Electrician to make safe through disconnection at supply to shower and feed at main board etc. A qualified Elec will do no problem..Depending what you want to come out of shower ,pressure etc engage with a plumber.Do it cheap ,you get cheap and danger."

"This should be fine, you may want to consult a plumber first to test your water pressure before you start however. You could add a pump to improve the water pressure utilizing the old shower supply as well.
Hope this helps."
