Durability on travertine tiles

How long do travertine tiles tend to last? Are they a long-lasting choice? Thanks!

"Travertine is an excellent alternative to marble as it appears similar with its natural veins but is more durable and cheaper to buy. It is a soft sedimentary rock so care does need to be taken as it can scratch easily. However, minor damage can often be repaired by using an epoxy infill. As long as regular maintenance is carried out to the tiles (cleaning and seaing) then the tiles should last a long time."
