Can you fit a double check valve to a shower hose to allow a longer hose?

"The processor for your digital shower will normally have NRV's and as long as the shower head isn't sitting in a pool of dirty water then it should be fine though a double check on the hose if you want to follow the letter of the regs."

"You can get longer shower hoses. Not sure what size you're looking for. It is possible to connect them together with a washer but you need to buy the bits first."

"Yes you do, but it depends on the building or house, the normal is to see it first"

"Probably easier to purchase a longer hose vs a valve as its then less points of failure"

"A double check valve is never used on a hot water connection because heat causes expansion and that caused burst pipes. You can get shower hoses up to 2.5 metres or 7 feet in old terms."

"Hi home owner,

If you check properly same model and same size with proper length, its possible.
The check valve would have to be in the mains supply to the shower."

"You can buy longer hoses on the showers but depends on the water pressure on the shower, the longer hose may cause the drop in shower pressure"
