"Dog doors can be easily installed by a professional. However, trying to do it yourself could result in the door breaking!
Contact several dog door installers before ordering the installation. Asking for multiple quotes is a great way to find the right fitter. Remember, it is important to ask professional installers not only about prices, but also about their experience.
Best regards."

"As long as the bottom half of the door is a pvc panel and your competent enough to use a drill and a jigsaw then the job is easy enough to do. If the whole door is a DGU then you would have to order and fit the new DGU before fitting a dog flap. Hope this helps"

"No should be an easy thing to do as long as it has a pvc panel to bottom of door.

It will just need right tools for the job which a lot don’t have so maybe need someone with pvc experience or carpenter"

"Yes, as there will have to be tools to cut out the frame of the door to fit the flap. Then the flap would have to be sealed up"

"Yes, you will need a professional to fit a dog flap into a double-glazed patio door. Double glazing consists of two glass panes with a sealed air or gas-filled space in between, so cutting into it is not a DIY job.

The typical process involves:
1. Ordering a new glass panel – A glazier will measure your existing door and order a new toughened glass panel with a pre-cut hole for the dog flap.
2. Replacing the panel – Once the new panel arrives, the professional will remove the old one and install the new one with the dog flap.

This ensures the integrity of the double glazing remains intact and prevents issues like condensation or weakening the glass."
