"Shot blasting shouldn’t leave metal messy if the correct medium of grit is used for cleaning and prepping the metal, should feel a slight roughness to the metal which is a great base for applying powdercoat/spray/galvanising etc."

"Hi shot blasting needs to be done in an enclosed area as wether you are using sand or beads or anything it will go everywhere. But the finish you get is probably the best, you can never get close to that finish if you use a grinder"

"All depends on the materials how old they are how much paint is on top of it .
Generally is a good practice for the metal is very clean after this process.

You need to be careful with the thickness of the materials and the shot blasting grid.
