Do I need a new bathroom?

Hi, I moved into my first council property and the bathroom is an adapted wet room fitted for the previous tenant, the problem I have with the bathroom is that it has no windows and no fan just a small vent the bathroom gets very wet as there is no shower tray and the floor gets floode and a lot of steam from te shower causing mould to grow a lot on the ceilings and tiles grout and sealant, everywhere and I feel that because the bathroom has no ventilation a wet room wouldn’t be suitable as this will be a continuous problem with the mould? I would like to put forward a complaint to the council with regards to the poor design, but wanted to know from a professional point of view If what I am saying is correct.

"Your first point of call would be to contact the housing officer for your area and you can raise this issue as to why there is no extraction fan in addition im almost certain before undertaking any kind of work in the property it must be apposed 1st or when leaving the property you may be liable to repair back to as when you took the property"

"First point of call would be to make sure you’ve reported your concerns to the council.

Your landlord is usually responsible for repairing the problem when they become aware of it - so make sure you report the problem to them straight away. If you're renting from a housing association or the council and they don't fix the problem or blame you for it, you can complain to the Housing Ombudsman."

"You could get away with putting in proper ventilation a strong exterior fan should be fine
Regarding the water on the floor the drain may need cleaning if water is running away slowly"

"Hi as a bathroom and Wetroom specialist. I’d like to point out that and bathroom. Such as bath , shower or Wetrooms would cause steam. The mould is normally caused by soap discharge from lack of cleaning. The Wetroom would of been installed due to the previous tenants health. Your lucky to have been given a property. You can mention it to the council they may take your complaint into consideration. But there be very busy installing these due to people incapable of getting in and out of the bath. Which id also like to mention one day your require one your self.
The problem maybe that the vent cover sneers cleaning as it’s not drawing enough steam out due to dust.

"Obviously without seeing the room - it would seem to me that you are correct.
Building regulations in this situation would almost certainly require adequate extraction via a fan linked to the light"

"Every bathroom should be fitted with a suitable extraction can for ventilation they usually wire them in so it turns on when the light comes on"
