"Despite seeing so many fits done this way it is 100% wrong and should never be done this way as it invalidates your warranty immediately.

Ends of boards should be staggered and random leaving 6 inches in opposite directions for maximum strength to prevent it from unlclicking."

"While a straight pattern is considered to be standard when installing hardwood floors, here are a few other patterns and designs to give your home a custom look. These patterns are listed in order of their complexity with Brick being relatively easy and Herringbone being quite complicated."

"It's actually not difficult. find the centre of your room work out your flooring size width from your centre so you don't have a small cut on either side .brick pattern is just staggered or offset from the centre front to back and left to right regardless of if its wood. LVT carpet tiles or any form of flooring"

"Ensure that the wood subfloor is well attached. ...
Install backerboard over the top of the subfloor. ...
Spread thinset mortar onto the backerboard and lay your floor bricks. ...
Install the brick flooring in your choice of patterns. ...
Allow the floor brick installation to dry for at least 24 hours before you walk on the surface."

"It must stay straight as any gap will increase dramatically very quickly setting out is important as a wonky pattern looks shocking and there are a lot of cutting involved compared to a laminate board or real wood planks etc ."
