Damaged concrete lintel replacement

The concrete lintel above a ground floor door/window is cracked and starting to look dangerous, how much would this cost to get replaced? The opening the lintel covers is 6ft or 183cm, a window and door together, its visible from the outside if that makes a difference as i've seen some that are hidden by bricks, this one is not.

"Sounds like a concrete lintel, and would cost approximately £40 from a building merchants. A builder would typically replace the lintel in one day and charge approximately £150.
I’d imagine the job to cost around £200-250 in total."

"Hi
If it is single wall concrete lintel, then all materials, equipment and labour would cost around £600 aprox, if no padstones needed as it might be a reason why old lintel is crumbling
Thanks

"Without having a look it would be difficult to price for this job. From your explanation it sounds like you have a pre-cast concrete lintel at the back and brickwork stuck to the front. Common in slightly older houses. Unfortunately the only way to check if the lintel is damaged is to remove the plaster inside above the opening. However I am certain this would not cost £1500. The second quote of £750 is more realistic but as I said the extent of the damage needs to be checked."
