Creeking Laminate Flooring

I got herringbone laminate flooring laid about six months ago on a concrete subfloor with polystyrene bubble underlay. I need to get the creeking sound fixed that I was told would settle by time but it hasn't settled at all. It was leveled as much as possible before laying it down. I don't know if it could be the underlay being too thin or the type of the underlay as it has good reviews online designed for uneven subfloor. Can this be fixed without damaging the laminate flooring?

"First point of call would be the fitter as their work should be guaranteed for 12 months as a minimum.

If the polystyrene underlay was the white 1mm sheet, then that shouldn't have been used on concrete anyway as it has no built-in dpm, so you have no protection from moisture. I'm not sure what you mean when you refer to the "bubble" type.

You may find it is fouling in a door jam or similar area due to expansion and trying to grow but as it hasn't got the required space which would be a relatively easy fix once found."

"The sound is either the polystyrene or the planks themselves creaking .Polystyrene is not a good underlay for a floating floor as it tends to crush. A herringbone laminate is rare do you mean lvt ? If it's true mdf laminate it can be taken apart but it has to be done carefully. If there was still unevenness in the concrete subfloor it will mean the floor moves underfoot which will Dd to the noise"

"Hi,
I think the laminate floors will creek if laid down too tight to the wall. The floorboards must be at least 3-5 mm off the wall ( or skirting board ) all around. Another common mistake is putting down more than twenty square meters in one without making a threshold with a gap between the rooms. It shouldn't cause a sound if the floor is even, plus all the above is done correctly, and the overlap is at least 30 cm on the floorboards. I hope I could help."

"well, first of all, it was necessary to lay a good floor, because if you choose an unsuitable option, you will have to disassemble everything and lay a new good-quality floor and re-install the laminate"
