Cost/difficulty of fitting a shower screen

I want to replace my shower curtain with a more attractive shower screen. How difficult are they to install and is this something I could do myself or should I get someone in to do it? If I do get someone in, what sort of cost am I looking at (both for the screen and labour costs)? Thanks.

"Shower screens can cost anywhere between £60-£300 dependent on size, look and where u buy one from, they are not difficult to install providing u have the tools if you are unsure then getting someone is a good idea and as they would have to tools and expertise. Labour varies for some contractors. I have done one before and it took about 30-45 mins for £75 just for labour as the homeowner bought the screen."

"They’re only difficult if you don’t know what you’re doing, price wise the screen can range from £30/40 into the hundreds as there’s tonnes to choose from, the fitting shouldn’t be more than £50 for a standard screen"

"if you feel you could do this yourself I would say try but take your time, but if you wanted me to supply and fit the shower curtain the cost would be around £80.00"

"It is fairly simple for anyone with a little DIY skill and involves attaching to wall or tiles by drilling and using wall plugs, can be tricky if drilling into tiles and the cost is usually the price of the screen plus 60 pounds for fitting by a decent handyman"

"If you have to right tools then yes it’s easy to do and as for costing it depends where your located and the shower screen can be as cheap as £40/£50 or as much and fancy as you would like"

"Easy fit just follow the instructions, will say depending on the wall you are fixing too, you may need different screws and plugs"
