I would like to have a 15 square metre room fully painted. I would like the paint to be high-quality and water resistant. I am based in Yorkshire and would like to know what a painter might charge in my area to complete this work as an overall cost. How much would the paint itself be? And how about the hourly charge of the painter?

HI, THE LABOUR FOR THIS WORK WOULD BE APPROX. 8 HOURS SO £180-200, DEPENDS IF 1 COAT WOULD BE SUFFICIENT- MATERIALS, 5 LITRES WOULD BE ENOUGH TO COVER 15 SQ M

Good afternoon
Is very hard to say every painter needs to see it how the wall looks like voids you need sand it down and apply undercoat white mat and then 2 main coats of the colour you chose.
And about prices of painters it depends where is it and is not by hour rate but day rate.

The cost of materials would be around £40-£70 and the painter would charge for completion of the job, around £350

This depends on the prep work needed, also paint used. All trade paints a different. I use mcphersons paint and it’s not bad priced. I charge £23 per metre
And I charge £250 a day for all materials to be supplied hope this helps
