Cost of Kitchen Side Return

Question

Hoping to buy a Victorian ground floor flat in London which is very small. Agent recommended a side return on the kitchen, how would I begin with this please? The size of the current kitchen is 5.70 x 3.05M and I would be adding along the side, the space to add is approx. 5.7 X 2.00M

Get a kitchen company or two in to design you one then see what is actually achievable

Hi Rosie,

I would highly suggest a starter for 10 to identify a local architect to get an initial plan drawn up  and I'm sure they will recommend a structural engineer aswell.

But before all of that not sure if your side return is to the boundary of the property,  you will need a party wall surveyor so best to check with neighbours  as well.

It would depend on the quantity of kitchen and I would normally do a survey and tie up with clients and my supplier

Hi, Find a local architect who is familiar with that particular area. They should know ins and outs about building reg requirements. Tell them your plan, draw the plan and go from there.
