my water supply is hot when the tap is opened but after a short time the water runs cold it is

The main three things to look for 1. Does the water problem only happen on one particular tap if it does it could be the tap 2. When running the water does the boiler flames go out while the water is still running if so the issue could be faulty sensor in the boiler, blockage near or in the plate heat exchange or flow switch, also  possible diverter valve issue

It Certainly sounds like the plate to plate heat exchanger is full of debris. you might be lucky though and it could just be the hot water ntc thermistor.

Sounds like your heat exchanger is blocked up, hence the problem. Best to get it checked out and replaced if advised. Hope that helps 🙂

Sounds like a partially blocked plate heat exchanger. It limits the flow of cold water and causes the stat to overheat.

Sounds like a blocked plate heat exchanger , they can be cleaned I just depends on how blocked it is… Also have you checked the pressure in the heating.
