Chimney brest removing or cut out

Is it possible to cut into a large chimney brest to insert a large range cooker without removing it all

"Yes. A lintel would need to be put in place to carry the brickwork above the opening."

"Yes of course, you would need a a steel and likely a structural engineer to specify the size based on the load that is being taken from above. This can be bridged on Gallow brackets chemically anchored into the wall. A simple lintel would not suffice."
