Just starting out doing self employed work so not to familiar with pricing... I need to give a quote for 13 internal doors that need new hinges, handles and locks I'm not sure how to price it or just go in at a day rate

"You should charge as a standard £60 per door which includes all door furniture fitted. Day rate can vary on how many doors you can fit in a day but should do 3-4 a day and charge £200 day rate as a joiner for this."

"If your daily rate is £180 - £240 as most London based carpenters charge, then you should be able to install 3 sets of door furniture daily.. £60 - £80 per door sounds reasonable, if there is no trimming of door required.

"I would say that if the doors are new and you will need to fit handles/locks/hinges for 13 doors I would go around 50-60£/ each door."

"It all depends how confident you are with hanging doors and fitting ironmongery. How long does it take for you to hang a door? Also it's important whether doors have to be fitted with new door frames or into existing frames"

"Depending on the doors, fire doors(which are much heavier, and a lot harder to manoeuvre, will tend to cost more, having to cut and plane as well each door so bare that in mind. I would say around £30 per door to hang(that's for internal ply doors for fire-rated that would be £50 to hang per door)ironmongery per door depending on ironmongers around 25 for softwood and 40 for hardwood fired rated stuff"

"Hi as it is a reasonable size job I would charge for the job rather than by the hour. Assuming you are not having to cut down or plane the doors if it's just changing the hardware and there are no modifications required the I would quote labour only at around £250-300"
