    ceiling bowed with long cracks

We've just moved into an old house, and nothing came back in the homebuyers report re. structural issues. My living room ceiling is slightly bowed in certain areas. there are long 'square' shaped indentations/cracks, it looks as if something square is pressing down on the ceiling. is this something that could be just plastered over, or does it suggest a structural issue. we do have issues with the living room doors not closing easily, and the floor on the ground floor is slightly sloped. who would i call if it's a structural issue?
