In doing so I world be knocking through exactly where the current sink/stop tap is located and this would become the middle of the floor, would it possible to move the stop tap or recess into the floor? What steps should I take to fix a wobbly toilet? What steps should I take to fix a wobbly toilet?
Hi I have recently purchased a new build house . The standing shower cubicle has an electric shower which doesn't run well. For starters the water pressure isn't great and the hot water doesn't stay hot. Every now and then I get a sudden burst of ice cold water. Not sure if it is as issue with the shower or the water pressure. Would it be better to switch to a mixer shower? If so what would be an approximate cost to do so? Also the house has a ground source heat pump and no boiler.
How long do condensate pipes tend to last before they'll need replacing? How would I know when it needs replacing and must it be replaced by a professional?
We have just discovered that there is pipework and electrical socket in the way to a full size dishwasher (either integrated or freestanding. The width and height are fine but it’s the depth. Is this a cheap job to sort? We need to move the pipes out of the way, move the electrical socket to an alternative cupboard and also remove a section from the wooden support holding the worktop.
I'm having a water meter fitted, what gadgets are most effective at saving water?
Hi, I have a beauty salon opening in a couple weeks. I hired the same builder to install plumbing throughout the shop — which includes 5 pedicure benches, 3 utility sinks, and a bar area. Despite being hired 2.5 months ago, he just told me now that the boiler does not work — a couple weeks before planned opening and while I’m at the end of my budget. Firstly, how much of an issue can I make of it that the builder didn’t check the system far in advance of now, and secondly, is the boiler his responsibility (we agreed to him handling plumbing and this is for a £20,000+ full shop fitting/renovation) or mine? Of course, I should’ve thought to check when I signed the lease, but lesson learned. Thanks for any help!!!! - Cathy
How often does a boiling water tap need to be replaced would you say?
Is it possible to move a stop tap? Mine is in the cellar but it would be handier under the kitchen sink.
