In the progess of getting the house done, full refurb. Do you think it is best to have treated wood skirtings and stair case or have them painted and a different colour on the wall to offset? House it rather modern but I do want it to age well!
How much to strip wallpaper from hallway and two staircases and landing including ceiling of all of it except hallway?
I have arranged for someone to paint my h/s/l and the ceiling as I have health issues I can’t do it myself. I said do the woodwork myself I can manage that. I have 2 bannisters on my stair one has been up for years and well painted over the other is new and been painted once by my partner, he didn’t use primer and the painter who is coming said I’d be better using it before doing the satin wood. Do I need to undercoat every where doors skirtings etc or just the bannister? And do I sand it down first? Thanks
I hope to get the downstairs of my house painted in full at some point. I was wondering (as this was an issue for me before), how I can reduce the risk of getting bad headaches from the fumes in the days after the painting is done?
How would I make floral wallpaper ‘work’ in a living room? I’m worried it may look off or old-fashioned. Any suggestions?
What is the best paint/spray paint and coating to use on exterior walls and window ledges to avoid scratches/ chipping & burn marks?
Is it okay to use the same paintbrush for different types of paint? Or do I need different brushes for different paints? Thank you!
I'd like to have one bedroom fully painted. It has an area of 16m2. How much will it cost for a professional to perform this paint job?
I have a large floor area which features a slate tile effect and is a dark grey colour. I would like to give it a glossier look and have some glossy floor paint that could work to give it a brighter, shinier look. Would this be recommended on laminate flooring? And if so, is there any special preparation I should make for painting laminate flooring? Many Thanks
I’d like to perform a DIY paint job. However, I do sometimes get headaches when working with paint. Is there anything I can do to avoid this? Is this a sign that I should simply avoid undertaking paint jobs by myself? In this case, should I just hire a professional? If I wear a mask, could it prevent the headaches from occurring or is it better to avoid it anyway? It’d be great to get some guidance on this area as I’d really like to get some paintwork done soon around the house.
