Does a smart thermostat let you control the temperature? As I am not bothered about controlling it from phone is it possible to have an ordinary thermostat installed ? I do not have one at present..heating is controlled by control on boiler
What can be done about a flue offset that is too long? Any suggestions? What are the problems that can be expected if this is the case?
How can I tell what type of boiler I need for my property?
I need a cheap quote for fitting a lawful log burner multi fuel into a bungerlow for disabled people that already has a chimney and surround and marble.floor to stand on as used to have a gas fire fitted before a electric one was put in
Hello We have had a combi installed which has replaced our old conventional boiler. We have however had lots of problems with the new boiler. There are strange noises coming from the boiler & also problems with the water pressure. If I put taps on it causes the bath hot tap to come on. The stream of water coming out of the kitchen hot tap was so fierce we could not turn the tap off so are no longer using the hot tap in the kitcen. The engineer insists it is just because we have old taps and is going to replace the taps. The main issue is that he did the boiler installation in a day with a colleague. I am worried about whether they took any shortcuts but don't know enough about this. Please advise as to whether you think this is just to do with the taps or whether it could be a problem with the boiler installation. Everything worked OK with the old boiler.
Between LPG combi, heat only and system boilers, which one has the lowest running cost?
I’ve heard of the term ‘weather compensation’ with regards to heating; can you elaborate on what this is exactly?
If the water pressure has dropped in my boiler, how much might this cost to have fixed? Is it an easy job and might it be a sign of a bigger issue? Thanks.
What makes some radiators hotter than others? And what can be done about this?
Does the ideal boiler temperature vary significantly from model to model or even based on the type/design of the boiler in question? I assume the manual of any given boiler will provide this information anyway for any given boiler model?
