I'd like to be able to vent the hoses of my two portable air con units (one upstairs, one downstairs) through the wall and outside of the house, rather than via the window. I'm struggling to know who to contact to get a quote / organise drilling said holes and fitting the hose! I really don't want to be messing around with anyone who doesn't know what they're doing, but have no idea what kind of tradesman might do this job? Can I put up alcove shelving?
Hello all, I am looking into putting up shelves in some shallow alcoves (approximately a metre wide). They are located close to my living room fireplace. Would it be sufficient to use floating shelves or would I need brackets? I intend to use these as bookshelves, so there will be some weight to them. Advice on this would be brilliant!

How much would it cost to put 2 wooden posts into the ground? This is for a banner for advertisement for our nursery, we currently do have them but they need to be moved as the new banner is bigger.
