    New laid turf very patchy

I had a new turf laid in September 2024 and did not cut the grass till November The grass was about a foot in height I hired a gardener to cut the grass first with the trimmer and then with the lawnmower Since then the turf has gone very patchy it looks as if at the patches the grass has been pressed and there is no sign of the grass growing there What is wrong with it? Can it be put right so that it looks like a nice neat proper lawn? Please advise what has to be done and how much will it cost? Thanking you in advance

Best way to get your garden done on a budget

What alternatives/choices do I have at my disposal should I wish to have my garden rebuilt but I don’t have the money right now to have the job done all at once? I suppose what I mean is, is there a way to have half the job done without the garden looking like it’s half-finished? Maybe an intelligent approach could be used to achieve this?
