What is an EN 60204 installation test? When it is required and who can perform and certify this test? Are there any similar tests that might be needed during scenarios where this particular test is needed? In other words, basically will there be many cases where I’d need to have a variety of different tests performed at the same time as having an EN 60204 test undertaken?
The issue concerns 2 bedrooms that operate on different switches, obviously, but have different results than expected. The combinations are as follows: Switch A Switch B Light A Light B 1: off off off off 2: on off on on (dim) 3: off on off on 4: on (1st) on (2nd) on on (turns OFF light A) 5: on (2nd) on (1st) off on Sorry, but this is the only way I can explain. I think a little rewire is called for? Ragards John.
Where is safe to locate a socket for my dishwasher that's out of sight? I'm told it can't go behind the machine or under the sink. Is this right?
Hi, I’m trying to change a ceiling light, but when I turn off the main switches on the electrical panel the tester pen still lights up when I touch the earth wire(green and yellow) what should I do to make this as safe as possible?
Do I need to have a socket above the cooker on the wall for the the wires? The cooker hood does not come with a plug. I have two sockets on both sides of the cooker on the wall. Would like to avoid seeing any wires or leads. What sort of work would be required to get this fitted and how much would this cost.
Do I need an electrician to install an LED mirror in the bathroom?
Due to renovations in my home, I will need some additional electrical sockets installed in a bedroom. Currently we have electrical sockets on the wall directly opposite where we want the new electrical sockets. The room itself is approximately 9ft squared. Is this sort of installation something I can do myself and if so, what considerations will I need to take into account? Could I install the new sockets and use a connection to the existing sockets for the power and will it be safe? I want to be very sure that everything will be safe. Any advice from electricians with experience of this type of scenario would be appreciated! Many Thanks John
I want to replace my outside light from an old style light to something a bit brighter. I was looking at a led sealed unit but don't want to have to change it again in the near future. Are these any good? Where can I get a good one or alternatively the best spot light outside light with replaceable bulbs?
How much is it to replace a ceiling light in the hallway of my house any average prices
