Can a twin socket be fitted on tiled kitchen wall without creating an unsightly mess?
I currently have a garden shed with full power, with the garden circuit being a separate circuit on the main consumer unit. Power is provided to the shed via a buried 50mm armoured cable. I am planning on replacing the shed with a proper garden room. Is it possible to utilise the current electricity connection in the new garden room, effectively directly replacing the shed with the garden room? I would expect to have a secondary consumer unit in the garden room.
What is a smart video doorbell? Is it worth getting one and how much do they tend to cost?
Do you need planning permission to have an electric fence constructed? Are there certain properties that can and others that can’t have one built? If so, could you explain to me how it works, what rules apply, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated on this.
Is there a timer switch available for a shower room towel rail?
I’m in the process of getting three phase supply put in, SSE have advised I’ll need to have distribution/supply board setup for when they lay the cable. My question on is, what type of board to I need, they mentioned it would probably be on a concrete plinth and on a wooden back board. Looking for advise on all this please (I’m in the process of trying to find tradesmen to do all the excavation and electrical work)
Is it safe for me to disconnect my electric cooker
Are there tradespeople that do both plumbing and electrical work
I am purchasing a cottage which needs a full rewire. Some sockets are on the skirtings, and I can see the wiring chased outside of the walls. The cottage is 80SQM, and I would also require sockets to be added, and some light fixtures to be moved/added. I am just questioning, on average how much this could possibly cost.
We are going to have our existing garage demolished to make way for a 2 story extension, however the incomming gas and electricity supplies and meters are in the garage and need to be relocated. I've need to apply to have the supply relocated, and the people I've had round so far seem a little lost as to where. The current supply and meter are located on the left hand wall of the garage that will be demolished, right next to where the 'k' of kitchen is on the plans in the link below. Once the supply has been moved we can then get the house rewired, the garage demolished, and the build started. Any ideas where the new supply could go? Or clever ways of making life easy? Many thanks
