Building storage under the stairs
We want to build storage under the stairs but we're not sure what makes best use of the space. Do you think building in a cupboard, shelves or pull-out storage is better?
Rotten floorboards
Hi not sure which trade category this is, but we have rotten floorboards in our back downstairs room and also by the front door. Is replacing by floorboards or concrete the answer? Front room its only a few boards, also possible damp proofing. Many thanks
What nails do I use on architrave?
What type of nails do I need to attach 15mm pine architrave to a doorway?
Should I glue and nail a new stair spindle in place?
Do stair spindles need gluing and nailing in place or is there a wood glue that's strong enough to hold a spindle on its own?
Internal door hanging
How much to fit 7 internal doors, two to bathrooms/WC will require locks. I also need a door opening altered to go the other way and an under stairs framing and cupboard door building
Hang internal doors to a metal frame
I have recently moved into a council house, I don’t have a single door that closes properly and most don’t have handles. I really need to replace the bedroom doors, however the frames are metal with the hinges welded on. As I don’t own the house I really don’t want to go to the expense of replacing all the frames, is it possible to hang new doors onto the existing frame?
