Could you explain to me what loglap and shiplap cladding are? What are the pros and cons of each? Which is better overall and when should one or the other be used?
Hi I want to replace a hob and put a free standing range cooker there but the quartz top needs cutting each side of the hob to allow the cooker to fit. I’ve had 3 trades men say oh sorry I can’t cut the quartz? I am trying without any luck to find why this is such a problem? Any advice greatly appreciated xxx
I’d like to use pallets for a small decking area that will have garden furniture to sit on. I know the wooden pallets will rot, so was thinking to use membrane before putting pallets down and tearing them with oil. Is there anything else I need to put under them? And what would be best to put on top of them? Alternatively, I thought plastic pallets might last longer but still not sure what to put below and on top of them and additionally, how I would make them secure and start together?
I want the restoration/renovation of my stairs case. The staircase rail is still very okay just needs decoration.
Can I just buy one and you install it? As I've seen some on ebay that are made to measure
I've asked several carpenter/joiners about cutting an opening into my plasterboard wall and installing an insulated door to the eaves space, but no-one so far has said they will cut into the wall. Should I be asking a builder to create the opening and a joiner/carpenter to fit the door? I'm not sure how this is normally done.
Hi - whilst sanding and treating outside window and door frames, a lot of the sealing substance dislodged from round the edges. I need this resealed. Would a joiner do this?
How do you protect a timber stud wall from rot? Any products I could use or methods that could work?
I am trying to create a panty in a cupboard that once housed fridge/freezer. I have to pull out drawers assembled but the drawers are hitting the hinges so I can’t put them where I want them. Can I get flat hinges that attach in the same way?
My wooden floor is scratched. How do I get rid of scratches?
