    4m Small Extension

We are doing a small extension (4m2) and wondered if you can guide us on depth of footings necessary for a single storey extension, with flat roof, on a concrete slab. There are two perpendicular walls to build as it joins the main house. And would you suggest an expansion strip at the wall joint or Key in to existing brickwork? Thankyou for your help.

Cheapest option for remodelling a sunroom tacked onto rear kitchen?

Our house was extended at some point to add a sun room to the back of the house. The original rear window was left in the back wall to let in light to the kitchen. It doesn't look very pretty and the sun room feels tacked on. What's the cheapest way to remodel it and modernise it slightly? What would a builder suggest?

    First floor external air vents

Hi, Is it ok to block up first floor external air vents? They let in cold air and outside noise. What's the best way to do this? Feels like it could be a DIY/handy person job. What materials should be used. Many thanks. AL

Loft issue imporperly installed sarking felt

Had a homebuyers survey and this was urgent Part of the roof void has been covered with what appears to be a non-breathable sarking felt. This has been improperly installed over the top of the timber battens, allowing and moisture caught by the felt to penetrate the timber causing rot. Is this a big issue and what is the potential cost. 3 bed house
