Hi, I want to know what is the best wall make up for cedar clad for a new build, just need for one front face wall. I am wondering if a cavity wall plus cedar on top will be overkill. I will go for cavity brick wall all round three sides, and this would be for front face, just deciding what will work? Any ideas, need to meet building regs also. Need insulation inside also. Can I do just single brick inside, insulation and outside go straight in with cedar? Thoughts please.
Is an insulated concrete form better than a SIP?
Does a rope handrail on stairs meet building regs?

Hello, Our floor had dropped massively on one side in our living room Snd kitchen. They is a really damp smell coming from it and it feels quiet wet. How much would it cost to get this fixed? And on average how many days would it take to fix? I have pictures to show. The proparty is an end Terrence house.
Hey, Is it possible to make a 6m x 2.5m brick Garage circa 1.5-2m shorter? I'm thinking to essentially move the front doors back to allow a future extension to not have its view blocked. Currently on a concrete base and has asbestos sheet roof. Another part of it I am thinking of would be to replace the whole roof with a flat roof too. Looking for budget and if it's feasible.
Hi there, I am planning to have some building works performed on my property soon. What steps or/and applications may be needed should it run over or close to a sewer/drain? Are any specific approvals needed, might it depend on the case, and if so how would I know? Thank you for your time.
We've bought a house that needs lots of work. We're trying to do lots of ourselves, but there are things we'd like to get the experts in for. I know trades all have different terms, but what is standard? I'm just quite nervous about handing over lots of cash before anything is even done. What are the terms that people work on for larger projects like bathroom refurbs, garage conversions, and extensions? On top of that, is escrow something that is used for larger projects?
How can I find a good structural engineer to check out my home before having an RSJ installed? What are the best approaches and criteria to tick off if I want to do this would you say?
