Hi, I’m moving to a new flat and have bought a tv shelf unit with cupboard storage either side which can be wall mounted. There won’t be a lot of weight inside the cupboards but the unit itself is very heavy ( about 30kg) and the tv is a 55inch ( so I’m guessing about 10-15kg). Is this too much weight to mount on a stud wall?

I'm renovating a property and the floor joists need to be raised up 2 feet on 2 floors. The room is 3m x 5m and is brick built. What is the correct way to hang joists in a room that has already been built? Do i bolt timber on the wall then joist hangers off that or do i get joist hangers that can be attached to the brickwork? Building control will be coming to see it so i want to make sure it's correct. Thank you.
