Will I need to have some design ideas in mind before having a bathroom renovated by professionals or do most deal with the design aspect as well?
Is it best to buy the electric shower myself or get the tradseman to get it
How long should I wait before replacing my shower curtains? Does it depend on the material/product? Thanks!
Is it possible to put a shower over a free-standing bath?
Hi, I moved into my first council property and the bathroom is an adapted wet room fitted for the previous tenant, the problem I have with the bathroom is that it has no windows and no fan just a small vent the bathroom gets very wet as there is no shower tray and the floor gets floode and a lot of steam from te shower causing mould to grow a lot on the ceilings and tiles grout and sealant, everywhere and I feel that because the bathroom has no ventilation a wet room wouldn’t be suitable as this will be a continuous problem with the mould? I would like to put forward a complaint to the council with regards to the poor design, but wanted to know from a professional point of view If what I am saying is correct.
What makes a toilet especially loud while flushing? Any ideas as to how I can fix this and should I do it DIY?
Hi there, we are turning our two adjoining en-suites into a family bathroom on the 2nd floor. We are going to do all the prep work, removing the existing bathrooms, knocking the wall through and sorting the doors. Essentially leaving an empty shell. To be re-plasterboarded, bathroom fit and tiled. Will also need electrician work for the lighting. We've been quoted £7.5k for labour.. does this seem reasonable?
We are hoping to change up the bathroom in our new house. It currently has a nice freestanding clawfoot bath, vanity with bowl style sink and a decent toilet that I want to keep. The bathroom is tiled (floor and all walls) and for some reason a previous owner has then added a cheap and horrible shower. We want to have a Lisna Water shower put in instead. I assume we need to remove the toilet/sink/vanity/bath safely before removing the tiles? We can remove the tiles ourselves, lay the floor and do the painting ourselves but will need to hire a plasterer and plumber. Can anyone give me an estimate for plastering (all 4 walls) and the plumbing labor? Extra info: The room is approx. 2.25 x 2.40 meters, we want to keep the locations of each item the same so hopefully no moving pipes etc..., ceiling does not need plastering and we are in the north east of England.
Where can I get a square shower tray with 2 upstands, I can only find ones with 3 or 4 upstands!!
What’s the best stores, including online for buying replacement parts for bathroom fixtures/fittings? Or am I better off trying something like eBay? Doesn’t have to be a store. If you know any good websites that sell good and reliable replacement parts of toilets, showers, baths, etc. that would be a great help.
