    Amending house extension plans

The house I've bought already has planning permission for a double storey extension. There's a few little changes I'd like to make to the plans. Do I need to get the plans updated and resubmitted before building starts?

    Garden Living Space

I have a nearly square area of 5 x 5 metres right up to the boundary fences, which I am thinking of building living space, for use as office space and / or temporary living accommodation. I liken it to a studio apartment with kitchen, bathing, living, sleeping areas. What would be the best way to start exploring this project. Would I need planning, architectural services? Any idea of pricing? Sorry for seeming so vague, but any advise would be appreciated at this stage.

How can I find an architect with a good understanding of energy efficiency?

Hi! I’m considering hiring an architect for having a conservatory built. How can I find an architect with high proficiency in understanding energy efficiency and environmentally-friendly builds? Will most architects be well in tune with what is optimal nowadays or might some specific architects know the ins and outs in a way that most would not? I guess I’m wondering if there are eco-friendly specialists within the architect sector or something along these lines? Thank you.

    Planning an indoor courtyard

We want to turn our tiny side return backyard into an indoor courtyard, so it's more of a modern, all-weather space. How much would it cost to have designs drawn up for a space that's about 4m long by 2m wide? And does this type of thing need planning permission?
