"Better to be OLEV Approved Installer, be part of Competant scheme Napit or NICEIC.
Also good Idea to have manufactorys approval of product."

"A qualified electrician/ electrical company preferable who's completed the EV charger course. Also ensure the person /company is registered with a body and can notify the work carried out."

"Believe it or not you can do it yourself in your own home, but if you dont know certain things then you can open a real can of worms not only for youself but for neighbours aswell if you have any. Do not be tempted to buy a second hand unit.Be sure that it has an RDC DD BUILT in and 7.4 kw max rated and that you CANT exceed this on default settings as youll have the DNO (electricity network operator) down on you before you know it,because youve exceeded the load because they will know especially if you have a smart meter. You need a level 3 bs 7671 inspect and test before commisioning the unit by a 603/4908 or city an guilds equivalent installer,or a cps registered electrician or a listed installer by the manufacturer of the EV UNIT."
