Can I lay vinyl sheeting over old vinyl coverings?

"If the existing flooring is smooth and no rips or tears, yes, as log as the new vinyl is fully adhered, as all vinyl's should be."

"Hi there, I will always recommend removing any existing floor coverings before laying more flooring. Always best to go back to your subfloor and start again.

"Linoleum or Vinyl Flooring: Sheet vinyl can be laid over old linoleum or vinyl flooring if the existing floor is in good condition. If the old floor has a rough texture or some indentations, use a coat of embossing leveler."

"If it has been fully stuck then yes. If it has just been sprayed around the edges then it's better to just take it up."
