Concrete tiles unless the house is period then maybe slate or clay tiles

Flat rubber roof with a little fall so water hose of the roof on one side it’s one sheat of rubber so no lines or gap to seal unless against a wall then seal to wall trims on the roof aswell

A flat felt roof is going to be the most cost effective. the timbers should be adequate for the span and spaced appropriately. A marine ply will prolong the life of the roof. Try to avoid using chipboard as any damp or water ingress will deteriorate the boards very quickly. There are different options for covering the timber roof, Felt, Rubber, Fibreglass etc

A pitch roof is suitable although more costly. Use good quality roof trusses to avoid putting outward pressure on the outer walls. Take in to account the type of tiles being fitted when calculating the weight loading for the roof. Your truss provider will help you with this.

I would  recommend a rubber roofs  it  can be  ordered   to the size  of your roof  so there isn't  any joints   that  water  can get in
