Bonding tiles old or new?

Neighbour’s have just had a new roof and their roofer has bonded in the original very old tiles from when these houses were constructed 1950-60’s into my 5-6 year old roof. The old tiles have also been painted previously. They have used a bonding gutter in between but have put old tiles every other tile going down my roof front and back. Should the roofer not have found similar new tiles like mine and used them? Rather than the old painted tiles which were obviously at the end of their service life which is obviously why the neighbour was changing their roof.

"The tiles should have been replaced with new tiles as they would have a full life whereas old tiles may be more fragile / prone to breaking from weathering."

"“Good Afternoon, hi Andy I Agree you are correct as it is affecting your property you are entitled to have a word with the roofer but this is a Normal act Carried out by roofers maybe he could of said it first”

"A bonding gutter is used to split the roofs / party wall below , so there should be no joints hence the bonding gutter 🤔😏your half and their have so why they touched your tiles ?"

"Think u should have had a word with them roofers , as they had no right to touch your side and put old tiles on your side of the roof, and with moving your tiles you should get them back the same as it was !! Plus a plastic divider down the middle of both properties"

"Good morning it is normal for a roofer to use a bonding gutter between two houses, when if one roof has a different profile tile to the other so the battening is different for smaller or larger tiles as long as the bonding gutter has been fitted correctly you won’t have a problem, many thanks for your enquiry. "Hi Andy, yes you are correct, in reality they should have asked you and it would have been down to your personal preference as to whether they tie in the tiles to your roof using the old ones, if it didn’t cross your boundary then it wouldn’t be a problem you could solve. As for whether they should have reused the old tiles on the neighbours roof, the answer is no, however if the customer requested they do so, all the roofer can do is advise. Kind regards"

"Hi if I was renewing the roof I would have asked you what you would prefer, new tiles or the same tile second-hand weathered tiles to match yours,"
