My external metal down pipe draining rainwater from the gutters rusted and has now been replaced. Apparently the reason for the rusting was a blockage in the underground pipework. The company who replaced the downpipe recommended calling dyno-rod but my neighbour has suggested that we could fit - a downpipe spout which can carry the water a short distance away from the house. Might this be an adequate short and long term solution??
