Best type(s) of door for installing a pet flap for security reasons?

Would pet flaps be more secure in of themselves based on the type of doing they are built into? As in, I want to minimize the risk that someone could say cut through a pet flap then use that as a base to pry open the rest of the door. So on the basis of that sort of intruder danger, what sort of doors would be best for having a pet flap installed? Of course, I guess it's a balance since particularly strong doors will be too difficult to cut into to start with for constructing a pet flap? Any help with finding the right balance for this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

"Hi Julie,

I would suggest that the best type of door to use if you were planning on installing a pet flap would be either a wooden or a composite door. This is based on the fact that they are both strong and solid therefore minimising the risk of any tampering to gain entry into your property. Also, look at installing a good quality Intruder Alarm!"
