What are the best primer paints on the market?

Hi Bill there are lots of primers  you can get  all purpose primers  but the best primers are zinseer they are a bit more expensive. The main thing is you prep the surface you are priming and give 2 coats .Hope that helps .

Dulux do a product called "Super Grip" which is very good and water based. You can even prime Melamine and it costs round about £20 per liter.

Hello for best coverage use crown or deluxe   if you use cheap undercoat you may need to apply two coats so your paying nearly double if your painting on white gloss you could sand this down and you may not need undercoat

Zinsser! Definitely the best I’ve ever used! I wouldn’t use anything else. I also use it tinted for an extra durable top coat.

Zinsser products are by far the best in my opinion. Can be purchased from any brewers or Johnstone's decorating centre to name a few

I found that the best primer paint to use is crown solvent based paint
It gives good coverage unlike some other cheaper products
