Best lawn shape for garden

What shape of lawn looks best in a long, thin garden?

"Just in terms of the look, I would suggest as much width with the lawn as possible to make the garden look wider. If possible a pathway down one side of the garden and bedding at the from and back.

I hope this helps.

Best

"A long rectangular lawn will look exactly as such. If you were to use curving lines, you would reduce the overall appearance. Perhaps planting trees which when grown would provide natural zones and also some mystery and intrigue in to the garden. If you want a contemporary feel, you would use less curving lines and more straight edges. But ultimately without breaking the line of sight using zones, the garden will still appear long."

"Hi In my opinion gentle curves are always best both from the point of aesthetics and mowing the lawn, also try and avoid symmetry wherever possible."

"Get the shape of the lawn and paving right and it will look good in both winter and summer. Divide the space up to get rid of the corridor effect and to stop your eye from going straight to the end of the garden. So use circles, squares or rectangles for the lawns or paving in each area."
