"Ply is not great to tile on but if you are make sure the adhesive is flexible and has a high fibre content I use a brand called proflex also make sure you prime or at least PVA the ply first"

"Yeah, put down a sealant first. If it’s for kitchen or bathroom then use a waterproof, and flexible adhesive"

"Hi Jackie. It's not recommended to tile directly onto plywood. There are backerboard systems and matting systems that are used now to tile onto plywood"

"as long as there is minimal deflection/movement then a decent flexible adhesive will do the job...prime the surface first. topps tiles sell everything you will require and also be able to offer advice on which products."

"Is better to use ditra matt membrane first, if you don't you can use Mapei Keraquick S1 mixed with Mapei Latex Plus."

"To tile directly unto plywood is not recommended. A decoupling membrane is advised to limit any movement from subfloor and will bond better with tile."

"As long as they plywood is fixed correctly then I’d suggest using a two part flexible adhesive which comes with a bonding compound to mix in with your adhesive to help bond to floor"
