Bay window repairs

Question

I have a Victorian house that needs renovations.  Both of the bay windows to the front need repair work. The slates have degraded as have the nails.  The lead is also in poor condition.  Assuming that the wood beneath needs replacing and any other associated work, what would an indicative price be?  How much could I save by using composite slate or another alternative (is this even wise?) - Thanks.

Replace it all news apart from the decent slate any broken replace with new. You will only save on the slate try not to break many as they are not cheap depending on the size. Might save a few hundred pounds depending how many breakages you have

Replace  full roof  and use any old slate  and all new felt and wood and reclaim  slate if it is old property  to match in with  the property

Composite slate done but any slates can be used pal u looking at about £1200 for the job

I would use natural slate to keep the bay window roofs as original as possible.  depending on the size you need doing , I would say roughly around £1000 for both. That's timber , felt and slates plus nails. And labour .
