Bathroom paint Dulux

What paint would you say is better for bathrooms? I’m choosing between Dulux Trade Diamond range and the Dulux Easycare Bathroom range but have seen some negative reviews for the Easycare range

"When choosing paint for bathrooms, it's important to consider factors like moisture resistance, durability, and ease of cleaning. Both Dulux Trade Diamond and Dulux Easycare Bathroom ranges have their strengths, but they cater to slightly different needs.

1. Dulux Trade Diamond Range:
- This range is known for its durability and excellent washability. It is a high-performance paint that is resistant to scuffing and fading, making it suitable for high-traffic areas, including bathrooms. It also has good moisture resistance, which is crucial in a humid environment like a bathroom.

2. Dulux Easycare Bathroom Range:
- This range is specifically designed for bathrooms, featuring moisture resistance and anti-mould properties. It is formulated to withstand the conditions typically found in bathrooms, such as high humidity. However, as you've noted, some reviews suggest that it may not perform as well as expected in terms of washability or durability compared to other options.

Given these considerations, if you prioritize durability and washability, the Dulux Trade Diamond range might be the better choice, especially if you have concerns about the negative reviews for the Easycare range. However, if your bathroom is particularly prone to mould and you prefer a paint specifically designed for that environment, the Dulux Easycare Bathroom could still be a viable option.

Ultimately, the best choice depends on your specific needs and the conditions in your bathroom. If possible, consider getting samples to test in your space before making a final decision."

"As a painter I would personally go with easy care but the Dimond trade is better it all depends on the customers budget I would advise them to go with Dimond but if they would rather go with easy care due to financial reasons easy care does the job 👍"

"Between Dulux Trade Diamond and Dulux Easycare Bathroom, the better choice depends on your priorities:
• Dulux Trade Diamond Matt/Eggshell:
• Higher durability and scrub resistance.
• More resistant to stains and moisture.
• Used by professionals for high-traffic areas.
• More expensive but offers better long-term performance.
• Dulux Easycare Bathroom:
• Designed specifically for bathroom environments.
• Includes MouldTec technology, which protects against mold for up to 5 years.
• Some users report poor coverage and patchiness.

My Recommendation:

If you prioritize durability and ease of maintenance, go for Dulux Trade Diamond Eggshell, as it’s more hard-wearing and moisture-resistant than Diamond Matt. If mold resistance is your main concern and you don’t mind extra coats, Easycare Bathroom could work."

"Dulux trade paint is definitely harder-wearing. It has far more high-quality ingredients than retail paint, the paint you would buy from a DIY store."

"For bathrooms, satin or semi-gloss paint finishes are generally recommended due to their durability, washability, and moisture protection, in this case I wold go with easy care dulux"
