"Yes, products like Eco-Plug capsules ensure that the limited dose of Glyphosate is released slowly and confined only to the woody parts of the stump. Interestingly, glyphosate is also the only product which is safe to use near watercourses as it does not affect water invertebrates and vertebrates. We only use eco-plugs as they are pet and child safe."

"Yes when stump grinding is not possible and is safer than using dangerous chemicals"

"If you are using “eco plugs” where you drill a hole into the stump and hammering in the plugs, it is safe for children and pets as the poison is just in the stump and will rot from inside out"

"Yes, they are safe but you ideally want to cover the tree stump anyways so that the treatment dosen't get washed away by rain."

"Stump plugs are a slow way to kill stumps. Depending on the weather, time of year ect it could take 12 months +. My opinion is grinding out the stumps with a stump grinder. It’s quick and effective way to get rid of any old/unwanted stumps."

"Ecoplugs can be used., as long as these are used as instruction. they should be safe around pets and children."

"No...
A danger to a child for obvious reasons...

Children are curious about everything in the garden especially a hazardous environment.
... If a child is in the garden playing and a bit of the poison plug appears... a child might put t in their mouth!

Pets again are always playing outside but as they sniff, they may not try to eat it!

... It's not a risk worth taking in my opinion."
