Any downsides to full fibre?

Question

Apart from cost, are there any downsides to switching to full fibre? Fibrus are upgrading connections in our area at the moment and I'm trying to work out whether to switch.

No downside, however if you current speed is sufficient then no need to change

The only downside is the hight monthly cost! Depending on how May connections you have and what you use your internet for and how fast your current speeds are you are unlikely to notice much performance wise

You be forced to change to a voip phone. You’ll no longer have a landline.

If your current speed is not fast enough then you could upgrade to full fibre however the negatives are the cost and if you have landline it will be replaced with a Voice Over IP Phone.

Costs are now the same or usually cheaper if you shop around if it's available in your area other than the loss of the copper line (number can be kept if needed) but no downsides as such to note

Hi cost is a factor to consider,full fibre can be more reliable and more stable if anyone in the household does online gaming that will give them a better online experience you probably won’t notice any difference for day to day surfing or streaming depending on how fast your current connection is.
