Air lock in hot water system

There seems to be an air lock in the hot water pipes.
The water is not flowing from the hot water tank to any of the taps.
Any advice?

"Have you checked the header tank in the loft to ensure that it is filling with water, if this if full then your prognosis is correct
The easiest way to resolve this is if you have a mixer tap?
If you were to open the hot side and place the palm of your hand on the tap outlet (you will need to hold the list with some force)
Whilst your hand is over the outlet swap the tap from hot to cold, keep it midway open.
This will force cold water down the hot"

"Hello,
In order to rectify this problem you would need to introduce mains cold water preferably from the kitchen tap into the hot tap. If this is a mixer tap - open both hot and cold taps and put your thumb over the outlet to allow the mains cold water to blow the air lock out of the hot water system."

"All depends if the system is vented or unvented but it could be to do with back syphonage, support or even pipe sizing."

"If you’ve got a mixer tap, put the tap in the middle of hit and cold, when turning it on cover your hand on the outlet to force water down the hot water pipework releasing the airlock or get a wet vac and suck on the hot water through the tap with tap fully on hot!"

"If you have a hot and cold fill from your washing machine, you can join them together with the washing machine hose. Then blast the mains back into the hot in short bursts to clear the air lock."

"Go to the highest point of the pipe it may have a bleed point or try opening all hot taps at once"

"This could be a air lock or the float call vin the header tank is not filling, first check the loft area where the tank is usually kept make sure there is a good level of water, while up there check the outlet in the tank to make sure nothing has got caught in there, if this is ok then it could be a air lock, if you have a mixer tap in your bathroom or kitchen then open the hot water side and cover the spout with your hand and then turn on the cold, hold this for a few minutes and then let it go, repeat this in all mixer taps and this should clear your air lock. If you do not have a mixer tap then use a hose to attach the hot and cold tap together and do the same. There is also something called one pipe corrosion that happens on hot water cylinders that reduces the internal bore of the pipe, this is something you will have to get checked by a plumber if the first two don’t work. Hope this helps"

"If you have a mixer tap at the kitchen sink , cover the spout open the hot tap and open the cold main and use the force of the main to push it out ."

"Possibly your ball valve is not working correctly so your water tank could be empty.
If you tank is empty then you will get no water to your hot taps."

"Check that you have open the automatic relief valves on the system"
